Refund Policy

At the SME Innovation Network (“we”, “us”, or “our”), we are committed to delivering exceptional value through our memberships, partnerships, events, and digital resources. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be granted for purchases made via our platform [https://smeinnovation.org].

By purchasing from the SME Innovation Network, you agree to the following terms:


1. Membership Fees (Bronze, Silver, Gold Tiers)

Monthly Subscriptions
Members may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No refunds will be issued for partial months, unused access, or retrospective cancellation following a processed payment.

Annual Subscriptions (where applicable)
Refunds are available within fourteen (14) days of the initial purchase date, provided the member has not:

  • Accessed any premium content,
  • Attended any member-exclusive events, or
  • Downloaded any paid resources.

Once any of the above has occurred, the membership will be considered active and non-refundable.


2. Partner Tiers (Collaborator, Strategic Partner, Enterprise Partner)

Partner tier fees are billed annually and are non-refundable once any of the following has occurred:

  • Onboarding materials have been provided,
  • Co-branded or promotional content has been published,
  • Access to Network events or member platforms has been granted.

Refund requests submitted within seven (7) days of purchase may be reviewed at our discretion, provided no branding, visibility, or participation activities have commenced.


3. Event Tickets (Webinars, Workshops, Pitch Days, etc.)

Cancellation by Attendee

  • Full refunds will be issued for cancellations made more than seven (7) calendar days before the scheduled event.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within seven (7) days of the event or for non-attendance, except under exceptional and documented circumstances (e.g., verified illness, bereavement, or force majeure).

Cancellation or Rescheduling by the Network
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled by us, attendees will be offered either:

  • A full refund to the original payment method, or
  • A transfer of the ticket to an equivalent future event.

4. Digital Products and Resources

Due to the instant-access nature of digital content (e.g., downloadable toolkits, templates, reports), all sales are final and non-refundable once the item has been downloaded or accessed.

If you experience a technical issue with a file or are unable to access a purchased resource, please contact us within seven (7) days of purchase and we will make every effort to resolve the matter promptly.


5. Submitting a Refund Request

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to contact@smeinnovation.org, clearly stating:

  • Your full name and email used at purchase,
  • The date and nature of the purchase,
  • The reason for the refund request.

We reserve the right to request additional information or supporting documentation. Refund decisions will be made at our sole discretion in accordance with this policy.


6. General Terms

  • Refunds, where approved, will be processed to the original payment method within ten (10) business days.
  • We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of suspected misuse, abuse of the refund policy, or violation of our Terms of Use.
  • This policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
